Young Buck Found Guilty of Vibe Music Awards Stabbing- But No Jail Time to Come

G-Unit's own Young Buck was found guilty in court on Monday, but it wasn't for the original charge of assault with a deadly weapon stemming from last year's Vibe Awards. Instead, the rapper's charge was dropped to assault with a chance to produce bodily injury in exchange for a guilty plea.

According to MTV News, Young Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, was sentenced to three years of felony probation and 80 hours of community service, but will not serve any prison time.

In addition, the rapper's attorney, Scott Leemon, revealed that Young Buck was not holding a knife in pictures where authorities believed would prove that he was. The object in the rapper's hand was merely a fork.

Young Buck Only Had Fork in Viba Music Awards Ceremony Stabbing Incident"What we'll tell you now is what we didn't tell anyone back then," Leemon told reporters outside the courthouse. "If you remember that first day [at Buck's arraignment in January], I told you pictures may be deceiving. Guess what? Pictures were deceiving. We knew that day in Buck's hand was a fork. He did not have a knife, he did not cause the injury and what we were able to prove by DNA evidence, by video analysis, is actually he did not do the stabbing."

The knife found on the scene, which had the victim Jimmy James Johnson's blood on it, also had DNA from sweat that did not match Buck's, according to MTV News' report. That evidence helped to dismiss the original charge.

"The allegation was that he used a knife and caused injury -- that was dismissed," said Leemon's co-council, Lenny Levine. Although Buck's defense team did agree that he was holding a fork, instead of a knife, they maintained that their client did not stab anyone. ( take it he just poked the guy a few times :) reminds one of the line from Kevin Costners movie Robin Hood Why a spoon "because it hurts more you idiot") lol

Buck was excited after the decision stating that he "glad to get the situation over with," and of course took the time to promote his forthcoming album, Bad Influence, which is slated for summer of 2006, according to the rapper.

The deal comes just weeks before Young Buck was to begin his trial.

I'd say he was lucky since if you look at the next picture you can see that even a plastic fork can be used as a lethal weapon. It's really all about what area you decide to use it to penetrate and with what force or stroke style. G-Unit Young Buck Fork Stabbing
even a plastic fork can penetrate a humans flesh just look at this mans arm

The Terminator- Denies Clemency to Tookie

Even with tons of support from various people including Snoop Dogg and several artists in the hip-hop community Stanley "Tookie" Williams' last ounce of hope has dissolved, as California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger refused to grant the Crips co-founder's appeal for clemency today.Less than 12 hours before his scheduled execution, Tookies' last chance was Schwarzenegger AKA The Terminator (See Picture Below).

"Clemency cases are always difficult, and this one is no exception," Schwarzenegger said. "After studying the evidence, searching the history, listening to the arguments and wrestling with the profound consequences, I could find no justification for granting clemency. The facts do not justify overturning the jury's verdict or the decisions of the courts in this case."

But really, did everyone expect someone nicknamed
"The Terminator" to grant a release from execution?

If that was everyone's last hope they were sadly disillusioned.

Many of the inmate's supporters made their last stand on Sunday (December 11), indicating that a man who could help prove Williams' innocence had come forward. According to Allhiphop.com, the group of supporters recorded and forwarded the alleged witness statements to Governor Schwarzenegger's office for his review, but without success.

Schwarzenegger called the decision of Williams' clemency "a very heavy responsibility." Williams now faces execution by lethal injection on Tuesday (December 13) for the murder of four individuals in 1979.

In an interview conducted in November, Williams seems to be accepting his fate with out complaint.

"I am not the kind of person to sit around and worry about being executed," Williams told Reuters last month. "I'm sure there are detractors who would like to hear that I am weeping ... [but] I fear nothing except God."

Williams' case was also taken to the California Supreme Court, where it ruled on Sunday (December 11) to allow his execution to proceed as scheduled on Tuesday, saying that each of the nine claims were "without merit."In addition, a federal appeals court also ruled on Monday against the stay of execution for Williams. Williams is expected to be executed one minute after midnight.

Finally Here Just intime For Christmas! New Hip Hop Mixtape Banger Volume 6

It's Finally Here! and Just in time For Christmas. The www.DJEmir.com new Hip Hop Mixtape Volume 6 is here just in time for the Christmas shopping rush.

The advanced promo copy was just hot to def. Filled with 33 tracks of pure Hip Hop fire. The whole staff really enjoyed this one, yes even more than the others. The new Techniques Volume 6 Hip Hop Mixtape is appropraitely named "Dark-Side Shift" with super hot clips of famous Sith Darkside quotes from The Evil Galatic Emperor himself. Having the evil Sith Lord Sideous/Emperor Palpatine himself semi-hosting this mixtape just made the mixtape that much harder and nearly made us weap at how hot it sounded. I can't even describe how hard the samples sounded on this one, worth the price just to check out the sample clips Emir spliced up and put together for this Mixtape. Regretfully there were no reggae songs on this one for some reason, I guess he just had too much new Hip Hop Music stuffed into this one and forgot to cram some hardcore Dancehall reggae or oldschool. We'll make sure to remind him that those are sometimes our favorite sections of DJ Emir's Hip Hop CDs.

Both our loyal readers and we ourselves have been thoroughly Impressed time and time again with the whole Techniques Hip Hop Mixtape series of CDs. As such we have decided to officially start endorsing these Mixtape CDs on this website. They are all pure fire Mixtapes with hot mixes, beat juggles samples and DJ Scratching. Techniques Hip Hop Mixtape Volume 6

Whoa! Holly Smokes Mixtape 6 is Hot!
We got our grubby lil hands on an advanced Promo copy of DJ Emir's New Hip Hop Mixtape Techniques Volume 6! Gotta say we have been whole heartedly endorsing and promoting these Mixtapes time and time again because they never let us down. This mixtape CD is no different.
The mixing skill are again apparent on the mixtape and yes they are mixed!

That's Right We Said The Mixtapes Are MIXED- Imagine that!
Unlike many of the so called mixtapes on the internet which slam songs back to back with a bunch of talking over the tracks these mixtapes feature full mixes by a worldclass DJ who doesn't interfere with the music like many other non mixing DJs do.

As always the mixes are on point and the mixtape is filled with great music start to finish. It would be nice to see a little oldschool like the format on the first volume, but with all the great New Hiphop Music that's on the CD and everyone looking more for newer Music we completely understand the need and choice on this mixtape to push and promote the new material first.

When Club Bash originally opened after completely remodeling the old Lodo Music Hall, it was " the hot club to go to". Over the years it has remained a heavy contender in the nightclub scene of Denver. Many of the largest after concert parties have gone down at Club Bash. However with the Rise of many new Denver Nightclubs Bash had dwindled at times for certain nights. As an experiment the nightclub started a few 18+ nights that were extremely successful. Unfortunately this turned off a few of it's original 21+ patrons and in everyones minds the club became attached to the stigma of being an 18+ Nightclub.

Upon her refusal she was aked to deboard the plane at its first stop (which was not her not her home destination) The lady is now sueing the airline for her first amendment rights to freedom of speech.

Kanye West Criticises George Bush on National TV

In recent events: at a benefit concert to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina survivors Kanye West made a public statement criticising United States President George Bush for not responding to the disater in a quick and proper manner. The Multi Platinum and Award Winning Entertainer used his national television platform to state that "George Bush doesn't care about Black People" and also that the media's portrayal of the Hurricane aftermath was also tainted with racism. Kanye pointed out "I hate the way they portray us in the media... If you see a black family it says they are looting if you see a white family it says they are looking for food. "

While many people agreed with the rapper's view points some felt he should not have used that particular moment or platform to make those statements. Others however also believe that perhaps it was the best time to make the statements as they have more power now while the event is in the forefront of everyones minds rather than down the road where the power of the words might be lost to other current events.

Kanye West obviously isn't the only one to criticize Bush
on our national emergency response capabilities Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich made the following valid point "I think it puts into question all of the Homeland Security and Northern Command planning for the last four years, because if we can't respond faster than this to an event we saw coming across the Gulf for days, then why do we think we're prepared to respond to a nuclear or biological attack?" But it is still Knaye's comments that hit home the hardest. For his statements indicate that the delays were intentional due to the largely Black demographic of the areas most devastated by flooding in the New Orleans area.

And at Tuesday night's Hollywood premiere of 'The Man,' co-star and New Orleans native Anthony Mackie backed West, and even took it a step further mentioning it's more of a rich or poor issue, saying, 'It's not a black and white issue. Bush doesn't care about white people either.' "
The Reverend Jesse Jackson when asked what he thought of the Governments slow response put it quite eloquently- "America has a great tolerance for black pain".

Bushes Response to the Flooding?
"I don't think anybody anticipated the breachof the levees."-- Pres. George Bush (ABC "Good Morning America," 9/1)

National Geographic Anticipated the Flooding!
But apparently there was a story in the October 2004 issue of National Geographic

In October 2004, writer Joel K. Bourne, Jr. described exactly what was anticipated:

"The storm hit . . . with the fury of a nuclear warhead, pushing a deadly storm surge into Lake Pontchartrain. The water crept to the top of the massive berm that holds back the lake and then spilled over. Nearly 80 percent of New Orleans lies below sea level—more than eight feet below in places—so the water poured in. . . . As it reached 25 feet (eight meters) over parts of the city, people climbed onto roofs to escape it. Thousands drowned in the murky brew that was soon contaminated by sewage and industrial waste. Thousands more who survived the flood later perished from dehydration and disease as they waited to be rescued. It took two months to pump the city dry, and by then the Big Easy was buried under a blanket of putrid sediment, a million people were homeless, and 50,000 were dead. It was the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States...

When did this calamity happen? It hasn't—yet. But the doomsday scenario is not far-fetched. The Federal Emergency Management Agency lists a hurricane strike on New Orleans as one of the most dire threats to the nation, up there with a large earthquake in California or a terrorist attack on New York City. Even the Red Cross no longer opens hurricane shelters in the city, claiming the risk to its workers is too great."...

That was written in National Geographic a year before Hurricane Katrina ripped New Orleans a new one and basically brought this worst case scenario to life and into the forefront of Americas attention. Could we have prevented this disater? perhaps, but it would take an administration that actually reads credible information from credible sources like National Geographic. And an administration capable of realizing the ramifications of such a disaster and how prevention ultimately would cost less.

Human Nature Vs Mother Nature
Apparently our own development and subsequent destruction of natures own natural storm barriers is more to blame for the excessive destruction than are the forces of nature. Nature balances itself, it creates natural defenses against it's own storms. Humans almost always upset that balance and its a game ultimately humans always lose. Mother nature eventually balances itself even if it must do so by force.

Great Hip-Hop Music

Out of the many recent Hip-Hop Music albums the top three contenders seem to be Ludacris' "Red Light District" 50 Cents' "Massacre" and The Game's Debut album. Ludacris' Redlight District appears to be very solid. With plenty of good Down south flavored club tracks to keep you dancing, and keep the DJ's happy. 50-Cent of course is still doing his thing making club hit after club hit. He has managed to appear in the top 10 charts in 4 places including the two Guest spots with The Game on "Hate It Or Love It" and "This is How We Do" along with his own hits "Candy Shop" and "Disco Inferno" While the Game has quickly shot up from nowhere to being a big major player in the rap world. Despite the supposed "Beef" with 50-Cent that nearly tore him out of the G-unit camp The Game has managed to possibly plant himself as hiphop music's artist of the year.
